Bainbridge, 1816

ainbridge was memorably described by his neighbour, Sir Walter Scott, as 'a dog of a banker,' but that didn't stop him writing a classic book of fly fishing just after the end of the Napoleonic wars. Best read as historical background, it includes some of the first colour pictures of salmon flies.
